Dr (Mrs) Manju Chawla, MA, B.Ed, Ph.D in English, is a retired Principal and Head of Postgraduate Department of English of Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Women, Model Town, Ludhiana. It’s a reputed college holding an enviable position in the field of education of Punjab. Having served the institution for 37 years, love for literature has been a heart and soul for her. She was a teacher first and administrator afterwards. The best time of her life has been spent in the classroom having long discussions with the students on each and every aspect of life. Under her stewardship, the College was a hub of activities – academic, cultural and sports. An erudite and a voracious reader having flair for writing, Dr (Mrs) Manju Chawla has been a teacher par excellence and an able administrator; she has always been a loving, caring and sharing person who believed in creating a student friendly environment. Her pen has not stopped till date. She also served as a Senator of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. A thoroughly contented woman, she owes her success to the beautiful family she has been blessed with by God’s grace. She is thankful to God for every small mercy.
